StoryCorps joined Eagle Rock on campus on December 9th & 10th, 2011 for the National Teachers Initiative. StoryCorps, the national non-profit oral history project, launched its National Teachers Initiative at the White House on Monday, September 19, 2011. Only 1% of the interviews facilitated make it to air on NPR’s Morning Edition. We are hopeful our stories will be heard by that larger NPR audience, however, over the coming months we’ll be posting some of the 8 hours captured.
This clip features Amir Erez, former Public Allies Teaching Fellow in Mathematics and his Mentor Teacher, Eagle Rock Instructional Specialist Karen Ikegami talking about how they learned from each other during Amir’s Fellowship year at Eagle Rock School & Professional Development Center. Keep checking back here for more clips as we cull through the 8 hours that StoryCorps captured.
